橫濱商工會議所會長上野孝表示，希望當選橫濱市長的候選人是支持該市申請IR的人士。

他在本週的例行新聞發佈會上表示，抗擊新冠疫情雖然是當前最緊迫的問題，但橫濱也需要關注其長期的經濟繁榮。

他說：「我希望候選人能夠採取積極的經濟政策，令橫濱的經濟恢復到疫情之前的水平。」
