樂天觀光開發公司將於六月在其濟州天城大廈內開設新賭場。

據當地媒體報道，該公司已完成對濟州天城娛樂場內的博彩設施所有檢查，而閉路電視的審批也已進入最後階段，相關市場及服務人員亦已到位。

六月開業也標誌著濟州天城開業滿六個月。其內的五星級濟州君悅酒店、零售商鋪及餐廳自2020年12月18日起就一直開門迎客。

樂天觀光開發公司的全資子公司 LT Entertainment Co Ltd 於今年2月申請將賭場從其之前的濟州樂天酒店搬遷至這個價值14 億美元的綜合度假村。

搬遷後，該公司的博彩空間將擴大近5倍，至5,000平方米，將從現有的5張賭枱及51台角子機，增加至150張賭枱及300台角子機。按建築面積計算，其將成為韓國 16 家僅限外國人入場的娛樂場之中的第三大，僅次於仁川的百樂達斯城和濟州神話世界的藍鼎娛樂場。

儘管新冠疫情對國際旅行產生影響，韓國僅限外國人入內的博彩市場陷入危機。但元大證券分析師Park Seong-ho表示：「如果韓國可以在2021年底之前形成對新冠病毒的群體免疫，以及2022年中韓之期取消簽證限制，則博彩業在2022年可以實現逾2000 億韓元（1.805 億美元）的博彩收入，而不僅僅是百樂達斯城和GKL。」

濟州天城是濟州島最高的建築，有169米、38層高，設有零售商場、14家餐廳和酒吧，一個戶外泳池、帶酒廊的頂層天台，兩個水療中心和一家酒店。

濟州天城大廈佔地75英畝，在1980年由樂天觀光公司的前身Dongwha Investment and Development Co Ltd購入該場地。工程於1984年開始，但由於缺乏資金而停止。該項目最終於2008年重啟，在對設計進行修改之後，於2016年5月恢復施工。
